I have learned from experience and other drummers from bars to stadiums that what you need on a gig is groove and form. Charts are a map. YOU PLAY THE MUSIC."Gigging Drum Charts" provide you with the map. I write out the groove and form but leave room for you to take notes and write in alternate endings.I recomend making copies and keeping your master copy clean. Then, on the copies, you can take notes and write alterations for each of the bands you play with. These charts are straight from the popular recordings. They are the versions most likely played. So, you'll be able to print them off and take them to the gig in minutes. When using them for practice, read them first while listening, then play along . This way you'll catch all the hits and stops and sound like you've always known the music. Even if you just heard it today! Just remember - if you're having fun, so is the rest of the band and, the gig is yours.
I can't say enough good things about your site. It is probably the most unique site on the web with respect to drum charts. I have not found another site with such comprehensive charts and great presentation. Thanks for your efforts. -Charlie
