Heading to the "Real World"

I just want to take a moment out to thank you for creating such a fantastic site. Being a 23 year old about to graduate Musicians Institute and head out into the "Real World" it is awesome for me to hear your stories, your advice and outlook on the professional drumming industry!

I am incredibly nervous and anxious about the road ahead for me, but your pages ease me up a bit because although incredibly challenging, you still embrace the reason we all started hitting things with sticks: To have fun!

Soon, I will be moving to Nashville. I've been spending all of my time just charting out country songs so hopefully I can hit the ground running when I get there.

One thing I do want to ask, was there anything you looked back on after you started your professional career that you wish you paid more attention to, or something that you wish you studied that most people overlook?

This is such a big thing that's about to be happening to me and I just want to be 100% ready when I get there.
